Compton Farm Cottages - The Barn
Chichester

Chichester sits at the heart of West Sussex, where the South Downs National Park begins. The Barn is part of Compton Farm Cottages, a collection of converted agricultural buildings on the grounds of a family farm. The village of Compton itself is barely a minute's walk away—a handful of houses with a shop and tea room—and the cathedral town of Chichester lies ten miles south. Falconry experiences and racing at Goodwood or Cowdray are within easy reach by car.
The property accommodates eight across four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Downstairs, an open-plan living space has an open fire, dining area and kitchen equipped for proper cooking; bedroom one opens onto an ensuite wet room with grab rails. Upstairs, a galleried sitting room overlooks the ground floor, with three further bedrooms—two doubles and one with twin singles—sharing a family bathroom. A hot tub sits in the enclosed garden, and there is parking for two cars on site. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included.
The barn has been adapted to National Accessible Scheme Mobility Level 3A, with a ramp to the entrance and a lowered kitchen worktop. A shower seat and wheelchair-accessible shower are available on request. Note that there is a small unfenced duck pond opposite the drive entrance, and smoking is not permitted inside.

Nice cosy converted barn, however the host would walk in unannounced and we also spotted someone in the garden at night snooping around in the dark!

Be warned - when booking through the owners and not via the website they will double book you, and choose whoever is paying more, even if you have already sent your deposit over. We have a very sad AuDHD 9 year old whom was very excited about spending Christmas away with all his family, only to be told the next day after the booking had been verbally confirmed that someone else is now having the Barn. This is down to the owner not removing the booking availability from the website even though there was a verbal agreement in person, that we would be booking and sending payment and completed forms that same day! As a family of 9 we are heartbroken to have this Christmas holiday taken from us.

A lovely stay at this air BnB, nicely put together converted barn with a lot of space and rooms. Could use better WiFi and basic household stuff. However the hot tub is certainly a win!
