BAO City

We had a wonderful meal here. The restaurant is immaculately decorated and the food is delicious. Some favourites were the steak rice bowl and the prawn bao, but everything we had was lovely. Service was helpful and friendly, but the food didn't come out as quickly as it did when I went to the Marylebone BAO. Note: the drinks are not very sweet- I assume this is because they are authentic and they don't put the mountain of sugar into them that we are used to in the UK. However, for someone like me who has a sweet tooth, you're probably best to stick with water and save some money. The other two people I was with enjoyed the matcha and the bubble tea, but I wasn't so keen. Overall I would highly recommend eating here.

Delicious food, fairly quick service. The drinks were lovely and very unique. Portion sizes weren’t brilliant for the price - paid about £30 p.p. and unfortunately can’t say we left feeling stuffed. Atmosphere is lovely though, feels quite fancy, would be lovely for a date I think.

Very lovely food and fantastic service! We went to have dinner as 6 people group with variety of dietary requirements on 1st of May. The lady who took care of our table, Sans, she was fantastic! Not only she kindly guide through us, her recommendation were superb and anything we need she was there and help us out! Honestly above and beyond highly recommended!

A highly reliable spot for authentic Asian flavors, elevated by exceptional service. While BAO is a chain and doesn't pretend to offer high-end fine dining, this specific branch executes its concept flawlessly. It is the perfect spot for quality comfort food. The dishes are genuinely delicious, offering true, vibrant Asian flavors with very neat presentation. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried. The absolute highlight of the experience, however, is the service. The staff is incredibly pleasant, welcoming, and remarkably patient. They actually take the time to walk you through the menu and explain what is in your dishes, which adds a wonderful personal touch to the meal. The venue itself has a great vibe, making it a perfectly safe bet for a casual lunch with colleagues or a relaxed evening out with friends. A special mention goes to their private karaoke room (which needs to be booked in advance). We didn't get to try it this time, but it looks like a fantastic setup for birthdays or group celebrations. In summary: Very reasonable prices for great, consistent food and top-tier service. A remarkably solid 5/5 for an unpretentious restaurant that delivers exactly what it promises. A brilliant go-to spot in London.
