About hub by Premier Inn London City Bank

hub by Premier Inn London City Bank suits travellers who want a well-placed base in the City without paying for space they won't use. This is a hotel built for short stays, business trips and weekend visits where guests plan to be out exploring rather than lounging in their room. With 61 rooms across five floors, it keeps things simple and efficient, close to St Paul's Cathedral and the transport links that make getting around London straightforward.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and drinks available on request, and the beds and overall cleanliness are consistently well regarded. It's worth knowing the rooms themselves are on the smaller side, so this suits those travelling light rather than families needing room to spread out. Accessible rooms are available, and staff are noted for being friendly and helpful throughout the stay.

There's a restaurant and bar on site, plus breakfast available, and the 24-hour reception means arrival times are never an issue. Outside the hotel, St Swithins Lane puts guests within easy reach of further pubs, restaurants and evening entertainment. There's no parking on site, though given the central location, public transport is the recommended way to get about.

This hotel is in a relatively good location. However it comes with a lot of surprises. Firstly was the Cadbury chocolate buttons on the bed and the poo left over the toilet. We got the house keeper to clean the poo off the toilet, she was very embarrassed, was very apologetic and quickly ran out after wiping it a few times. Not realising there was still more poo on the toilet. I had to clean the poo myself off the toilet. The whole stay my partner and I felt discomfort knowing the rooms hadn’t been clean enough. Whoever left it there in the first place thank you we will never be staying here again. The breakfast was a positive experience, the food was a good price for London and good quality food. Multiple varieties and you weren’t going to be left feeling hungry.

I recently stayed at hub by Premier Inn London and had a really great experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help with anything I needed. A special thank you to Rita, who went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and stress free. Her kindness and attention to detail really stood out and made a big difference. The room itself was spotless and very well maintained. Everything was clean, fresh, and thoughtfully arranged, which made it a really relaxing space to come back to after a long day in the city. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Thanks again to the team and especially Rita for taking such great care of me.

I really want to like this place. The staff would often be absent, hiding in a back room somewhere. However, when we did have interactions with them, they were very nice. The rooms were tiny as expected. We had three rooms here for our group, so our experiences were difference but they were all meh. Overall the place needs to be cleaned. I mean vacuum the carpet! The elevator room off the lobby smelled of urine and haven’t been vacuumed in months. Our room carpet was grimy and stained. One room had no water pressure, one room’s air conditioning was dying. The location is decent so that was a plus.

Great location and good value, but my stay was mixed. The staff didn’t feel very welcoming and the rooms were much smaller than expected. My first visit was fine, and the first-floor room had an accessible shower with a bit more space. On my second stay, I was given a ground-floor room with no window, weak phone reception, and poor TV signal. Convenient for the area, but I’m unsure if I’d book again. • Excellent central location • Rooms extremely small • Ground-floor room had no window and poor reception • TV channels kept cutting out
