Had a great experience at Pizza Express Leadenhall Market. The location itself is beautiful and adds a unique atmosphere to the dining experience. The food was fresh, tasty, and served well. Pizzas were delicious with good quality ingredients, and the service was friendly and attentive. Nice place to sit, relax, and enjoy a meal while exploring London. Would definitely visit again.

I wouldn’t normally review a pizza express but I must say this is the best pizza express I’ve ever been to. It was so calm inside and the decor was lovely, not like your standard pizza express. The 2 staff members working were also lovely - one of the waiters genuinely interested in how everyone was, and having banter with customers which was refreshing. He helped me get free doughballs with the app too!

We ordered a chicken pizza with Cajun pepper. The dough was thin and crispy, and the flavours were incredible. The pizza was a bit pricey compared to other places, and we had to wait a while before it arrived. The restrooms could also have been cleaner.

Peter Boizot had travelled throughout Europe before returning to London. Distraught that there was nowhere to buy a proper Italian pizza, he decided to make, sell, and eat it himself. This began the first PizzaExpress and 60 years later, has expanded throughout the UK and parts of Ireland. My family and I had come across their restaurant in Leadenhall Market. Even though it was only a short experience, it was definitely memorable and I understand how they became popular. We decided to start with the Triple Chilli Chicken Wings. While we chose the medium level of spice, it still was fiery and kicking. Of course, it was not just hot, it was juicy with tons of meat. The coating and seasoning were perfect and, if you needed it, the blue cheese dip was a perfect cooling factor to the hot flakes. As for our main, we decided to go with the BBQ Burnt Ends and the Calabrian Feast, both from the Romana Pizza section. The BBQ Burnt Ends is topped with slow-cooked beef brisket with a hint of chipotle, BBQ sauce, mozzarella, red onion, roasted tomatoes, and parsley. The beef brisket and BBQ sauce were the stars of this dish. The beef brisket was soft and tender, perfectly coming apart when biting through the crust of the pizza. The chipotle and BBQ sauce added a depth of flavor to the beef. As for the Calabrian Feast, this one is like a fiery meat lover's pizza. It has 'Nduja and Calabrese sausage D.O.P, with pepperoni, crispy pancetta, two types of mozzarella, Gran Milano cheese, chili, parsley, and hot honey. While not as spicy as the Triple Chilli Chicken Wings, this one definitely lived up to the title of fiery meat lover's feast. The sausage and pepperoni were juicy. The chili and hot honey added a nice little heat to the meat, tying the dish together. I really hope they expand further out to other countries so I can try more of their pizza (and maybe their desserts).
