The Counting House

On a warm afternoon in London, an executive decision was made that it was time for a cold brew. Outside of this pub was where that decision was made. Inside, the room was cool. The decor is amazing: an old bankingvhouse. The staff were lovely. The main room and toilets were clean. The lager and cider were, indeed, cold. Prices were typical of central London. We didn't eat here, but we saw food coming out to other diners. It all looked good. Will we return? If in that area (a short stroll from Liverpool Street Station), we definitely will.

We weren't aware this was a hotel as well as a pub but we went in on the of chance we could get breakfast here... which they can do and it's available to non residents. We had the full English breakfast and the avocado on toast. The full English had high quality items and was delicious. The avocado was also very tasty with an addition of a pesto dressing which was well received too. Great location on an old historic bank and helpful friendly staff. Highly recommended for breakfast!

My husband booked this hotel because of its location and he likes Fuller beer. The room was large and the bathroom gave us plenty of space. We enjoyed the drinks and food in the downstairs for breakfast and dinner. If you are looking for a charming hotel with a great pub, this may be the place for you.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The room was small, but well equipped. Hats off to housekeeping who kept us well stocked and were so efficient and thorough. Breakfast and hospitality from the entire staff were spot on! We will definitely stay here again!
