My mum, my dog and I visited Inveraray Jail yesterday and had a fantastic time. We received a lovely welcome from the lady at the desk, who kindly gave my dog a treat and recommended the best route around the jail. The museum itself is outstanding, with fascinating history, excellent displays, and plenty to explore. Being able to look inside all of the open cells really adds to the experience. A special mention to the two gentlemen outside the cell block, who were incredibly friendly and shared lots of interesting information with us. The staff genuinely made a great visit even better. I highly recommend Inveraray Jail to anyone visiting the area. It’s a fascinating attraction that people of all ages will enjoy.

Been before with kids over the years but went as adults this time, added in the escape room for a longer experience. Had a wonderful time in both, big shout out to the guy who took our pictures in the outdoor jail / “ exercise “ area. Massive thank you to the chap who took the escape room. What a guy. Made the experience so much better. Informative, friendly and easy to deal with as I was hungover 🤣 Finished with some oysters from the pier in a magical location. Must visit 🥰

Fun way to spend an afternoon in Inveraray! Loved feeling part of the jail and the courtroom, following the trail and listening to the guide (lost signal a few times but generally worked well). Could totally imagine being there over 100 years ago. Brilliant!
