What diners say
I had a really lovely dinner here and the food was fantastic. I had the chicken curry, garlic naan, mango sorbet icecream and 1/2 chicken (the starter). The ambiance and restaurant is really lovely. The food was a little spicy (for me but that’s okay! :) and authentically made. The dessert was so refreshing and delicious. It’s a little bit expensive but a really nice place to treat yourself.

Just a few words to summarise our and our experience of a Lunch , Restaurant was busy , The bill was high considering the lamb was NO lamb .. and other curries same ..a real shame .. as sauces all tasty really good . .. bread was good , Roti also good , rice was excellent fluffy and tasty . However my lamb curry , was sauce and more sauce to count four pieces of lamb at 17.50 to which was small dice chewy .. would have sent back but due to company I didn’t want to cause a fuzz .. chef should have went to spec savers , the paneer curries were also sauce and more sauce 6 pieces of small dice .. this is a money making exercise .. the onions barjais were good . Massive dissatisfaction on the curries … the desserts mango whip was ok and the doughnuts in saffron was a hit and Miss at the table . Drove back home and was still hungry .. 🤤 just want to mention the service charge was twenty pounds on top I asked them to deduct this .. and no body even manager to whom was stationed by us bother to ask . So I decided to put pen to Google … and share ..

The food and atmosphere were amazing. I absolutely loved the Cardamom Peshwari Naan, such a fresh and tasty bread. The restaurant gets busy very quickly, so I’d definitely recommend booking in advance. Pricing was generally fine, although I was a bit surprised that we were charged for tap water. It was listed as still water on the bill and came in a glass bottle, so I’m not really sure why it was charged. But overall, it was a great dining experience! The staff were also very kind and friendly.

Honestly these are the best dosas in London. The texture, cooking time and firmness is perfect. The accompanying chutneys are delious. In south Indian households anyone makes dishes for the family can make dosas, but there's always only a few family members who are sought out for their dosa skills. The other dishes are equally fabulous Inc their take on channa. Just the right amount of spice for everyone to enjoy. In the sub continent, the Futher south you travel the hotter the climate and the hotter the chillies! I like fiery dishes but I'd like my friends to partake in meals with me. Tamilia's dishes are perfect.I'm extremely happy Tamila have graced us. We've now got South India represented amongst the other amazing restaurants from across the globe on Northcote Road!
