About Clapham Junction Central

Step into a room at Clapham Junction Central and you'll find an en-suite bathroom, drinks available in the room, and free WiFi as standard, all set within an adults-only property aimed at travellers who want a straightforward, quiet base. Reception is staffed around the clock, so arrival at odd hours or a late check-in is never a problem.

There's a kitchen on site for guests who want more flexibility than a standard hotel breakfast, and the address on St Johns Road puts you within easy reach of Clapham Common as well as the wider transport links South West London is known for. A pub or bar, restaurants and eateries, and other entertainment are all nearby, making it simple to eat and unwind without travelling far.

Being so close to Clapham Junction station itself is a genuine plus: it has a wide range of shops and food outlets, plenty of platforms, and staff who are generally helpful and friendly, plus step-free access via lifts. The one drawback is that the station can get busy, so those wanting a quieter arrival should factor that into their journey.

I had a disappointing experience at Exit 1 of Clapham Junction Station around 6 PM today. My ticket would not scan, so I asked a staff member for help, but he was unhelpful and dismissive. His attitude made me feel uncomfortable, as if I had done something wrong despite having a valid ticket. I hope the station can improve customer service.

This station has a number of platforms running train routes far and wide. Platforms are accessible via the upper or lower concourse. Both have a selection of places to buy food or drink to consume on your journey or whilst waiting. Platforms have designated waiting areas with ample seating. Or you can sit along the upper concourse. There are bright, wall mounted yellow information boards with train destinations and the relevant platform listed alongside. So no reason to get lost as it is big and can get very busy. Platforms also have a live departure board with the trains and times on as well as information boards on the platform stairway. Each platform has a designated lift for easy access for wheelchairs/prams/those with luggage. The station also has toilets. Very well organised and never encountered any issues when travelling from here. Staff are also readily available to help with any queries.
