North Wales offers plenty to explore from Groudd Hall's base near Corwen. The Dee Valley is close by, with walking routes through moorland and woodland, while Snowdonia National Park lies within reasonable driving distance for mountain scenery and outdoor activities. The market town of Corwen itself has shops, pubs and cafés worth a visit. The property works well for families, groups of friends or multigenerational gatherings who want space to spread out without booking multiple places.
Inside, five bedrooms across two storeys can sleep up to ten: a kingsize bedroom with ensuite walk-in shower, three further doubles, and a twin room. There are two additional bathrooms with shower rooms, plus separate toilets. A living room with open fire and smart TV faces the hillside views; the kitchen-diner is modern and well-equipped for cooking together, with a breakfast bar and separate utility room. A games room with pool table means options on quieter days. Outside, an enclosed garden has a sitting area, barbecue and children's play equipment. The private hot tub takes eight people.
Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered in the price. Private parking accommodates five cars. The property is non-smoking throughout.

Just got back from a weeks stay and this was possibly the best place we have ever stayed. It had Internet throughout the whole house which is 5 bedroom (2 en suite) with comfortable beds and plenty of space. There is a main living room with a table that sits 10 perfect for eating together and a little games room with a pool table. The TV was a smart one with access to all the apps and the heating was so good we turned it down!! The kitchen was equipped with everything you could think of which meant we enjoyed a very large Sunday roast. The kids bounced between the games room and the 8 person hot tub and the adults got some time to enjoy a soak as well. There's a play area with swings and a slide along with a bbq area and some picnic tables but there is also a set of garden furniture which is comfier than the picnic tables and enough to seat most people if they weren't in the hot tub. The house is set back from the road which gives you peace and also contains the noise you create whilst making memories. The road up to the house is a bit bumpy but the supermarket delivery driver was able to get up and down with no issues. There's a good pub at the bottom of the road and a shop not too much further away. It's a perfect base to get to a number of local places such as Bala lake or Betws-y-coed and then slightly further away we visited Conwy. I would highly recommend this place and hope to go back again soon

Gorgeous house every mod con you need for a stay away from home. There is everything you could possibly require. The hot tub is amazing if a little difficult to figure out, maybe the owner could leave a hot tub for dummies instruction leaflet. There is a second set of lights around the canopy but we could not figure out how to light them. We had an amazing stay.

3 generations of our family stayed at Groudd Hall to celebrate a 50th Birthday. There was more than enough room for everyone and a good time was had. There is plenty of everything and some luxury touches throughout while still looking like a an old house.
