What visitors say
Not bad overall, very easy access from the A30, but lacking that something. Everything is bland... there is not much to do there apart from having some walks around the lake which is actually a reservoir, cant swim or do any fishing. But if you like woodlands and a view that i would come back. Not busy at all in the middle of august...

The closest thing you will get to wild camping in England, with the added bonus of toilets and shower which are kept clean. there is a kitchen and drying room that i did not use so can't really give an opinion on those facilities. The owners/staff are really friendly and very helpful, bringing me wood for the fire as i travelled on my motorbike. they sell fire wood on site for camp fires which was handy for me and was a nice touch to the wild camping experience. The views, lake and location are great as it is almost smack bang in the middle of all major attractions. I managed to visit newquay and Eden project in a day at my own leisure. Morrison, Asda, Halfords, millets ect within 16-20min drive again awesome. All in all a great place that I intend on staying at again. check it out. Matt

Wild camping at its best. Amazing views. Clean toilets and showers . even has a lovely room with a small kitchen for those rainy days. Dan was really welcoming and helpful. Will visit again
