The Byre is a single-bedroom cottage converted from a 17th-century stone outbuilding on a working farm at the edge of Bodmin Moor. Everything is on the ground floor, with access via a back door requiring just one step—useful if mobility matters to you. The open-plan living space has a woodburner, and the kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave. A zip-and-link bed in the bedroom can be configured as a superking or split into two singles, and there's a shower room with a cubicle shower.
The property comes with wi-fi, heating, bed linen and towels included; fuel for the woodburner is provided too. You have your own parking for one car and a garden with seating. One dog is welcome but must be kept on a lead throughout—the surrounding land is working farmland with livestock and unfenced ponds. The 15-acre grounds belong to a small cluster of three holiday cottages, and you're free to roam the pasture and woodland. Bude and its beaches are within reach for a seaside day out, while Bodmin Moor itself is on your doorstep.

July 2026. Very Peaceful on pitch 5 which was level(ish) seperated buy neat hedges. This is a basic but very nice campsite with only water/recycling/elsan. Flat walk into Bude (15mins) via shared path and a nice 1.3mile circular flat walk to stroll the dog in the morning/evening next to the river (access to this is via connecting unlevel, stoney path through the trees opposite the campsite). One small negative is the toilet waste inlet port is way to small!! Would recommend visiting here.

Great little CL. Nice level, part hardstanding part grass pitches. Site is in a great location. Last half mile access is single track but not a problem. Will definitely return.

Fantastic place to stay. The host had everything thought out and the place was IMMACULATE. If you want a quiet cozy place to stay I highly recommend coming here. We’re already planning our next stay when we come down from Yorkshire
