We had a wonderful time staying at the lodges with our dog. Our dog is very reactive and in training towards other animals. We had no problems during our stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time there with our dog. The lodges are immaculate and the surrounding areas are so peaceful and a lovely get away. James the host is superb. It’s an ideal area if you want to be tucked away but not too far to travel to nearby coastal areas. We would happily return.

We first visited Eastcott lodges when my children were little! They now have children of their own and we went back in 2025. And we are going again this year. Beautiful place to be. Quiet and close to many beaches. Thank you so much

We booked three cottages at Eastcott Lodges in North Tamerton for a 3-day trip to explore Cornwall. Our group included 12 adults and 2 kids. Initially, we were a bit concerned as the location is quite remote from the main tourist spots, but this turned out to be a blessing in disguise. A unique feature we weren’t expecting was the coin meter for electricity in each cottage. At first, we were unsure why we needed to pay for electricity after booking, but we later learned that each cottage includes a £5 electricity credit daily, which was more than enough for our stay. The on-site pub was very helpful in providing change and even allowed bank transfers in case we didn’t have cash in hand. That made things a lot easier. We checked in during the late evening, and the area felt quite eerie due to the silence and minimal lighting—just a bulb outside each cottage. It gave off a spooky vibe at night, but once the sun came up, the whole place transformed. The wooden cottages are absolutely charming inside and out, and the natural surroundings are stunning. By morning, no one wanted to leave—everyone was captivated by the peaceful and mysterious beauty of the place. A big thanks to James, the caretaker, who was very helpful throughout our stay. Also, a shoutout to the friendly pub staff and locals—we had a lovely time chatting with them. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat surrounded by nature, Eastcott Lodges is a fantastic and budget-friendly choice. Definitely worth the money!

Beckie Hey

Lovely stay here. We enjoyed coming here as a family. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Lodge's were very clean. the children loved the ducks and the pheasant being outside the window every day, although I think the pheasant thinks he's a rooster waking us up in the morning 😂. It was a shame about the weather! Thank you.
