Ashmere

Ashmere is a single-storey annexe set within five acres of countryside near Callington. The setting commands views toward Bodmin Moor, and because light pollution is minimal here, the night sky is genuinely dark—the Milky Way and shooting stars are regularly visible. Ground-floor layout means everything is on one level: a living and dining area with a sofa bed, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, two single beds in the bedroom, and a shower room. The grounds are shared with the owner, but you have private parking for two cars and your own patio and garden space.

Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all included. The kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, microwave and coffee machine, so self-catering is straightforward. A pub sits within a mile. Callington's shops and amenities are reachable on foot; Plymouth, with its beaches and attractions, is roughly 25 minutes by car. The Tamar Valley and the south coast are also within easy reach. Note that there are steps both at the entrance and within the grounds, and smoking is not permitted.
