You open the front door into a generous open-plan living space with a slate floor, wooden beams, and a three-piece suite facing an open fire. The kitchen sits within the same room, equipped to cook proper meals – electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and freezer all there. Upstairs, an oak staircase leads to a landing with views across the farmland; one bedroom holds a double bed, the other two singles, and a family bathroom with bath and shower serves both. The cottage is yours alone, with parking for one car and Wi-Fi throughout.
The location is the real draw. St Gennys Church stands next door on dramatically high cliffs – no bell-ringing to worry about – and the coastal path is a five-minute walk away. A footpath a few yards off leads down to Crackington Haven beach in fifteen minutes on foot, or five by car. That beach is among England's best for surfing. Behind the cottage, an enclosed rear garden with lawn and sea views looks out towards Widemouth Bay. The owner, who lives nearby, organises nature conservation walks along the National Trust coastline around the property.
Electricity, bed linen and Wi-Fi are included. The cottage does not permit smoking. One dog is welcome.
