Bennacott Farm Cottages - Rose Cottage

A converted farmhouse cottage on a working farm outside Launceston, Rose Cottage has the solid character of a rural Cornish building. Stone floors and wooden beams run through the open-plan ground floor, where the kitchen connects directly to the living and dining space. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings, and a smart TV for rainy days. Three bedrooms spread across ground and first floors each have an ensuite or nearby bathroom—the master upstairs offers a super king bed with both bath and shower, while the other two bedrooms each have their own bathroom too.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and all the basics you'd need to cook properly. Essential costs are covered: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. One well-behaved pet stays free. The back garden has a sitting area with barbecue, and there's parking for two cars on site.

Launceston itself is a market town with good local shops and restaurants. From here, you're within reach of the north coast beaches—dramatic stretches with proper Atlantic waves—and the quieter countryside that surrounds the farm makes for straightforward walking straight from the door. Smoking is not permitted inside.
