Bessborough

Bessborough is a ground-floor apartment in St Mawes that opens directly into the kitchen, with no steps to navigate from the driveway. The layout gives you a sense of space: a separate lounge with sea views, a kitchen/dining room equipped for cooking from scratch, three bedrooms (one with an ensuite shower), and a family bathroom with a bath and shower over. Bed linen, towels, heating and wi-fi are included.

All the rooms sit on one level, which matters if you want easy access or are travelling with elderly relatives or those with mobility concerns. The front garden has furniture and opens onto the rocky foreshore, so you can step outside straight onto the beach. There is parking for two cars on site. St Mawes itself is a working fishing village at the tip of the Roseland Peninsula, with pubs, restaurants and a harbour; Hotel Tresanton is nearby if you want to venture out for a meal. Children under 5 are not able to stay. Smoking is not permitted.
