Tavern House

Tavern House occupies the centre of St Mawes seafront, positioned directly above Tavern Beach with water views across the bay towards St Anthony's Headland. The 16th-century building is thought to have begun as an inn serving Henry VIII's castle, and retains period character including a curved coat cupboard reportedly fashioned from a boat hull. A pub is within a mile, while the castle and village shops are a short walk away.

The house sleeps seven across four bedrooms: a king, a double, two singles in one room, and a further single. There are two bathrooms with shower facilities. Downstairs, a spacious living area with sofas and French doors opens to the front garden, which has a terrace and seating. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, and a utility room has a washer and dryer. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included. The rear garden has steep steps, so children need supervising there. The property is non-smoking, and parking is available in the village car park.

The location makes it easy to reach both beach access points, and from the windows you'll see the Falmouth ferry, working boats and moorings across the water. Hotel Tresanton is nearby if you want to eat out without leaving the seafront.
