Chymor

St Mawes sits on a peninsula between harbour and castle, its seafront lined with holiday homes and working fishermen. Chymor is a Victorian semi that puts you steps from the slipway to Tavern beach, close enough to walk to the town's pubs, restaurants and shops. The property is yours alone for the duration of your stay.

Four bedrooms and four bathrooms spread across three floors. Ground level has a living room with fireplace and picture window facing the sea, plus a kitchen with induction hob and dishwasher opening onto the rear garden through French doors. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one king, one double—a family bathroom and a separate shower room. The top floor holds a kingsize bedroom in the loft with its own en-suite shower. Bed linen, towels, wifi and heating are all included, and you can cook a proper meal or run a washing machine without worrying about extra charges.

Outside, a tiered garden at the back has a barbecue area and decking for sitting out. There's parking nearby, though unloading at the door is possible. The place doesn't allow smoking. Note that steep steps lead down into the rear garden, and the entrance itself sits three steps above street level.
