Seaton and Downderry sit on Cornwall's south coast as a pair of quietly established seaside villages, their beaches drawing families, dog walkers and occasional surfers. By The Beach is positioned where a short flat walk takes you straight to the sand and pebbles—a beach with a gentle slope into the water, lifeguards in peak season, and year-round permission to bring dogs. The village itself clusters within 1.5 miles: cafes, pubs, restaurants, a shop and public toilets all on hand.
The property accommodates eight guests across three bedrooms and two bathrooms, all on the ground floor with ramp access. The main living space combines kitchen and dining areas with a woodburner; bedrooms feature a double bed plus two rooms with zip-and-link twins that convert to super-king doubles on request. There is also a sofa bed. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and WiFi are provided. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, and one pet stays free—with an outdoor hose for washing off sand and salt. Three cars can park on-site; an electric charging point is available on request. Outside, an enclosed garden with patio, sitting areas and a barbecue give you space to unwind. Inside, bodyboards and storage for beach gear and bikes mean you can travel light.
This works well for families wanting beach time without fuss, and for anyone with mobility needs—the single-storey layout removes stairs. The coastal footpath beckons for longer walks. Smoking is not permitted.
