Den's Den suits couples and small families after a base where the car can stay parked. The apartment occupies the first floor of Beach Hall, a development overlooking St Mawes square with views across the bay. Windows in both the sitting room and double bedroom frame the water and the boats moving through the harbour.

Inside, everything sits on one level: an open-plan living and dining space with Freeview TV and DVD player; a kitchen fitted with electric cooker, dishwasher and washing machine; two bedrooms (one double at 4ft 6in, one single); and a bathroom with bath and shower. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. A shared roof terrace with garden furniture sits outside, and a public car park is adjacent to the building.

The location means you can walk to everything—the beach, pubs, shops and the harbour itself. Ferries depart from the quay to Place Manor and Falmouth. One dog is welcome. No smoking inside.
