Hillside

Hillside is a ground-floor semi-detached lodge within Penstowe Park, suited to couples, small families or friends wanting a base for exploring the Cornish coast. The property has a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, living/dining room, kitchen and shower room. Bed linen and towels are provided. Electricity runs on a coin meter (pound coins accepted); a small credit is left on your arrival.

The lodge sits on the holiday park complex near Kilkhampton, about 3.5 miles from Sandymouth Beach and close enough to reach Bude—a seaside town with a heritage centre, canal-side cafés and craft shops—in a short drive. A pub is within a mile. The surrounding area has connections to television and film: locations used in Doc Martin and Poldark are nearby, and Tintagel, famous for its clifftop castle and Arthurian legend, lies 23 miles away. One dog can stay at no extra cost. The property does have three steps at the entrance and sits on steep gradients, which may affect access for those with mobility difficulties. There is parking on site, and you arrive from 16:00 and depart by 10:00.
