Lavausa

Lavausa is a four-bedroom house on the edge of St Mawes with something genuinely rare nearby: private parking for three cars. The layout works around a reverse-level design, with bedrooms and a study on the ground floor, and the main living space pushed upstairs to catch the light and the view. From the first-floor open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting room, you look out across St Mawes bay towards the National Trust's Roseland Peninsula and St Anthony's Head. Doors open onto a balcony where breakfast or an evening drink makes sense.

Downstairs holds two bedrooms with their own shower rooms, a third bedroom, a fourth with flexible bed configuration, and a main bathroom with bath and shower. The ground floor also has a study that works as a quiet retreat or sleeping space for children. A covered entrance runs alongside the property—useful for rinsing off sand and seawater, storing wetsuits or boards, or letting dogs dry out after the beach. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking; heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

St Mawes is a working fishing village rather than a resort, ten minutes' walk downhill to restaurants, a harbour and the coastal path. The Roseland Peninsula, accessible by ferry or a longer drive, sits directly across the water. Smoking is not permitted in the house.
