Mortreth
Cornwall
Mortreth is a modern end-terrace cottage sleeping eight, positioned a short walk from Porthtowan beach and village shops. The ground floor is arranged as an open plan living and dining space with a fully fitted kitchen—electric oven, induction hob, microwave and fridge—that opens onto a private balcony with views across the bay. Three bedrooms are split between ground and first floor: a double and two singles downstairs, plus a kingsize with an ensuite shower upstairs. Two bathrooms serve the property, one with a bath on the ground floor. Electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are included, along with a washing machine in the external utility room and private parking for one car.
The balcony and front garden both have seating, making it easy to spend time outside. Families with young children will find a travel cot, highchair and stairgate already in place. Porthtowan sits on the North Cornwall coast near the A30, with the beach itself set in a cove with rock pools and sand, backed by the National Trust Coast Path. The village has several cafés and bars within walking distance. It's a convenient base for exploring the coastline on foot or visiting attractions like the Wheal Coates Mine ruins and Gwennap Pit, or for families wanting to visit Base Camp Gwelan Mor. No smoking throughout the property; one dog is welcome.
