Looe's working harbour and sandy beaches draw families and couples year-round, but this corner of Cornwall also rewards those seeking something grander. Palm Court rises above the town with the kind of architectural presence that stops you mid-stride—a 1930s colonial design that imports American Hamptons styling to a Cornish clifftop. The house sleeps 12 across six bedrooms and five bathrooms, making it large enough for extended families or groups of friends without anyone feeling cramped.

Ground floor space includes two living areas (one with an open fire, one with a woodburner), a dining room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge, coffee machine and everything else needed to prepare meals rather than just reheat them. Three of the bedrooms have their own bathrooms. Upstairs holds the remaining three bedrooms and two further shower rooms. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included; the initial fuel for the woodburner is too.

The real draw is outside. South-facing terraces step down through the garden, furnished for long afternoons and lingering dinners. The private hot tub sits on its own deck; a sauna is also available. Gas barbecue, garden furniture, and festoon lighting mean evenings happen here as much as indoors. Four cars can park on the property. No smoking inside. The nearest town centre and beach are in Looe itself, downhill from the house.
