You enter Pear Tree Cottage into a ground-floor open-plan space that stretches from kitchen through dining area to living room, with a conservatory beyond. The kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and washing machine—everything needed to cook properly rather than make do. A woodburner and Smart TV occupy the living area; French doors open to a private garden with furniture and space for sitting outside.
Three bedrooms and two bathrooms serve six guests. The first bedroom contains a double bed and its own ensuite shower room. Bedrooms two and three each have two single beds. A further bathroom with a bath and shower is available to all. Electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard. One dog stays free. There is parking for two cars on site, and no smoking indoors.
The cottage sits in a quiet spot just a mile from Black Rock Beach, where rock pools appear at low tide and the sand suits dogs well. Bude, known for surfing, lies a short drive away with cafés, restaurants and shops. Crackington Haven's cliffs, Tintagel Castle, Boscastle's harbour and Port Isaac are all within reach for day trips. The north coast here has a long history of smuggling tied to its inlets and coves.
