Fowey is a working fishing village built around its harbour, with narrow streets, independent shops, and plenty of pubs within easy reach. Sea Star Cottage sits in the heart of it, a semi-detached house on four floors where you have the whole place to yourself. The ground floor opens into a living space with a wood burner, dining area, and kitchen centred on an Aga. Upstairs are three bedrooms and a shower room; a fourth bedroom with its own toilet sits on the top floor.
You get four beds in various sizes—a kingsize, a double, two singles, and another single—sleeping seven altogether. The property includes wi-fi, bed linen and towels, and the initial fuel for the wood burner. A small courtyard at the back has a barbecue; unloading at the door is possible, and there is a public car park nearby. Stairs gate, travel cot and highchair are available if needed. A bench at the front looks over the estuary towards Polruan. No smoking throughout.
Fowey works well for families and groups wanting a genuine harbour town rather than a resort. The coast path, estuary walks, and sailing are close by; pubs and restaurants line the waterfront. The Safe Harbour Hotel is within the village, and you are less than a mile from other drinking spots.
