The Barton

The Barton comes fully equipped for a complete stay. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included, along with initial fuel for the wood burner. The kitchen has an electric cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher and slow cooker, so cooking anything from a quick meal to something more ambitious is straightforward. The living space centres on a wood-burning stove, with Freeview TV for quieter evenings. There are two bedrooms: one with a king bed and its own en-suite shower, the other with two single beds. The main bathroom has a corner bath and heated towel rail. A welcome pack arrives with you.

This single-storey barn sits in the hamlet of Laneast, near Launceston in north Cornwall. Original timber beams run through the open-plan living and dining areas, and a stained-glass window throws coloured light across the rooms. Outside, there is a garden with seating and furniture, and the property stands within 31 acres of woodland and meadow that guests can access. On-site parking for two cars is available. The property is entirely yours alone during your stay; smoking is not permitted indoors. Launceston, once Cornwall's ancient capital, is close by for provisions and attractions.
