The Fisherman’s House
Cornwall
Photo: Google Maps
Kingsand sits on Cornwall's southeast coast within reach of beaches, cliff paths, and working harbours. The Fisherman's House is a three-bedroom base in the village itself, so the pub is a short walk away, the sea is within a mile, and the local cafés are on hand for breakfast. A master bedroom with a freestanding bath and ensuite occupies the top floor; a double and a bunk room with a shared shower bathroom sit below. The house sleeps six and has parking nearby in the public car park, though you'll need to manage some steps to get in.
The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking. Bed linen and towels come as standard, and electricity is included in the cost. No smoking inside. From the front, there's a small seating area where you can watch village life pass by. Mount Edgcumbe House and its country park lie within driving distance, as does Whitsand Bay for surfing and longer beach days. The local pubs and restaurants—The Devonport Inn, The Halfway House, The Old Bakery among them—mean you need not leave the village for an evening out.
