The Old Cart Shed

Photo: Cart Shed Cottage

Truro's position on the Cornish coast means the beach and coastal walks are within a mile, while the town centre has pubs and restaurants within easy reach. The Old Cart Shed sits in the middle of it all, a two-floor cottage that gives four guests their own complete space to spread out.

Downstairs, an open-plan living room and kitchen flow into one another, with exposed stone walls and enough room for everyone to gather. A bathroom with bath and overhead shower is also on this floor. Upstairs are two bedrooms: a double with a feature fireplace, and a bunk room suitable for children or other guests. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, and there is Wi-Fi throughout. No smoking is permitted.

We stayed at Cart Shed Cottage on our first ever holiday in Cornwall. The cottage had everything you could possibly need and was so well-equipped with thoughtful extras too. Our family of five and our four-legged friends had plenty of room, and the secure garden was a godsend for the dogs to get out and stretch their legs safely. The location is perfect for first-time visitors as it is central for travelling in all directions. Rosie was communicative leading up to, and during, our stay and a pleasure to talk to. We would definitely return on our next visit to Cornwall, highly recommended 😊
