The Old Garden House

Cornwall

The Old Garden House is a Grade II-listed cottage in Cawsand, one of the two oldest on Armada Street. Built in the 17th century with unusually wide doors (a practical detail from its past), it combines period character with modern essentials. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms sleep up to six, with the ground floor arranged to be accessible—bedroom and shower room downstairs alongside the main living space.

The layout spreads across two levels. Upstairs are a super king, a double, and a flexible third bedroom (single bed that converts to double or twin). The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking proper meals, with a large fridge, combination steam oven, dishwasher and washing machine. Downstairs, the living room has a television and opens onto a private patio with seating and a barbecue. The bathroom upstairs includes a spa bath; the ground-floor shower room handles day-to-day needs. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The property is non-smoking.

Cawsand is a coastal village within walking distance of the car park, with a pub a short way off. The cottage suits families or groups after a base near the water without sacrificing everyday practicalities or comfort.
