Tristan's is one of two apartments carved from the south wing of Lanwithan Manor, a substantial house built in 1827 that still belongs to its original family. The conversion has preserved period character while providing straightforward modern comfort for couples and families of up to four. Both bedrooms and the bathroom are on the first floor, along with the living room and kitchen/dining space, making the property easy to navigate with young children.
The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge, so you can cook as much or as little as you want. The living room has a Freeview TV and DVD player. One bedroom has a double bed (4ft 6in), the other two single beds (3ft each). A travel cot and highchair are available if you ask when you book. You get electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi included. There is parking for two cars on site, and a bike store if you've brought bicycles.
The apartment sits within the grounds of the manor, surrounded by gardens, mature trees and a bluebell wood. A pub is within a mile's walk, and the riverside town of Lostwithiel—known for antique shops and galleries—is five minutes away on foot. Restormel Castle and Lanhydrock House are nearby. The property is non-smoking throughout.
