Highland Cow Cottage

The highland cow cottage is the most amazing experience we have been to in a long time. It was absolutely amazing and we booked in for the afternoon tea which also includes feeding and brushing the cows. The food was incredible, the sausage rolls and scones were warm when they came out which was amazing. The sandwich’s were great, the drinks options were amazing and the staff are so friendly and so kind. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience there and I will definitely be going back when I get the chance. The barn is so clean, smells fresh and it’s not dirty at all. They are very hygienic with brushing and feeding the cows as they allow you to wash your hands after which is great. 20/10 stars!

We had a fantastic visit to Highland Cow Cottage with a meet the cows experience followed by afternoon tea. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming and Leon (‘Dad’) was a legend!!! Leon talked us through everything and answered all of our questions, as well as having a good laugh with us. The cows are gorgeous and we had plenty of time to feed and brush them before going into the pods for our afternoon tea. The pod was decorated really nicely and was warm and cosy with everything Highland Cow themed. The food was lovely and we had a choice of hot drink. We had to box some of ours up to bring home as we couldn’t finish it all. Would recommend and will be back.

I had such an amazing time at the Highland Cow cottage. I went for my engagement shower and my maid of honour booked the highland cow experience and afternoon tea for a group of us. Upon arrival our host Karl warmly greeted us and explained the timing of our booking. Once our whole group arrived, Karl took us over to see the cows. His Dad, Leon, stayed with the group whilst Karl took me into the field to get up close and meet a bunch of the cows ! Karl was super informative and I loved hearing about each individual story for every cow. It was really heartwarming to hear how they’ve rescued so many animals with health issues or that have been neglected and now care for them at their lovely farm. I got to brush and feed the cows whilst learning about each of them (they were really soft!) We then drove to the front of the field in a buggy where the group was and I got to see the young baby Elsa. I loved meeting Gwen, Sophia, Megan but especially Spike who was my favourite 🤍 after we had all fed and brushed the cows, Karl offered for us to head over to see and feed the miniature pigs, goats and alpacas ! They were all so friendly and it felt like a fairytale getting to be so close to these tiny cuties. You can tell all of the animals are super happy and cared for. We were then taking into the barn where are afternoon tea was setup in an igloo with aircon. The spread was gorgeous, little sandwiches held together with a highland cow toothpicks🥹 yummy scones, brownies, Victoria sponge and everyone’s favourite; the highland cow cupcakes !! We were very well catered for and everyone loved the food and drinks. We were then really surprised when Karl brought over bottles of prosecco as a congratulations 🥺 the whole team were so thoughtful and made the experience ten fold better than I could’ve ever expected. I couldn’t recommend it more !! We ended the event all grabbing bits from the gift shop which had so many options, all themed with highland cows. I cannot thank Karl, Leon and their whole team for the most amazing day. They mentioned about new experiences like glamping they want to introduce, so I will definitely be back !!

My daughter bought me the experience to feed and interact with the cows. Ruby who was our guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions about the beautiful and gentle animals. If your thinking of going I would highly recommend it, we didnt do the afternoon tea but I can imagine it would be really good. Thank you Ruby for a lovely experience and to the stars of the show the Highland cows. 😊
