Part of the Best Western group, this is a lovely hotel. Ideally situated and close to Coventry City Center, the rooms are lovely, nice and clean. The breakfast buffet is superb. And the evening meal was great. The only thing missing from this hotel is there are insufficient wall socket outlets or USB plug in points x particularly to either side of the bed.

The pool water was cloudy and some clumps of hair floating around. It didn't seem to be very clean. Not much privacy in the small changing area. We hardly hardly slept for several reasons: 1. You can hear everything going on outside your room, people talking and walking as they go past. 2. You can hear doors opening & closing, slamming shut, throughout the night. 3. We could hear the neighbouring rooms TV. 4. The most frustrating thing was some kind of pump that kept going off at several periods throughout the night - it was loud and regular. We think it was some kind of water pump, that goes on at the demand for water or maybe the toilet. This is what disturbed us the most on and off during the whole night and resulted in us not getting much sleep! The staff seemed friendly, with what little interaction we had with them. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Location was handy for us and our plans, however the exit onto a very busy dual carriageway seemed a bit dangerous. Also had to pay £5 per night to park, which I thought was ridiculous considering the price we'd already paid and the land is owned by the hotel!! I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

Absolutely appalling experience. Do NOT book a wedding at The Village Hotel Ausley (Windmill venue) unless you enjoy being ignored, overcharged, and treated like an inconvenience. We attended a wedding this weekend and The supervisor running the wedding was rude, dismissive, and clearly couldn’t care less about the event he was supposed to be managing. We paid £100 for a bottle of champagne and were flatly told staff wouldn’t be bothered to carry it upstairs with an ice bucket and glasses — something no other venue has ever refused to do. The food was an outright disgrace. A grim, grey buffet of soggy chips, dried-out burgers, and sad sausages that not even my children would eat. Inedible. For the money that must have been spent, this was a joke. Then to top it off, the wedding cake was dumped out in giant slabs with zero cutlery in sight, leaving guests wandering around trying to find something to eat it with. Untrained, underage staff, an unhelpful and rude supervisor, and food that belongs in a school cafeteria on a bad day — not a wedding. Save your money and your sanity and book literally anywhere else.

Came here as a group yesterday to celebrate my hen do and we left sorely disappointed. Upon booking we made to sure to explicitly say multiple times we had a gluten allergy in our group. Upon arriving- we were rushed to order our food as part of our package and this consisted of us ticking next to what we wanted whilst we qued for our robes. There was no organisation with taking our names for each order for easier understanding. Again we mentioned the gluten allergy and the seriousness of it as there was no gluten free menu given to us literally a printed piece of paper with items on us to basically tally next to. I enquired about what was GF and the woman on reception had literally 0 menu knowledge and made no effort to re assure us of anything and it was a lot of “we should be able to do that gluten free” and no definitive answer when asked about certain items. We then have our treatments and go into the pool which was absolutely bloody freezing, and the hot tub was also freezing and really uncomfortable. My friends went upstairs to set up the table for me as a surprise and the staff hadn’t read the booking notes clearly and had set up someone else’s birthday balloons on the table with our bridal stuff and wasn’t understanding when we were saying it was not a part of our group. We sit down for food which also takes another half an hour to come out when we were scheduled in to eat at half 1. All the food comes out- fries are cold, burgers are dry, pizzas rubbish and to top it off when bringing out the two pastas one was meant to be GF and they had no idea which one was GF. There was no allergy flag from the kitchen to differentiate the food and the staff were clueless and again it was “I think” there is NO room for thinking when it comes to allergies. No manager spoke to us about what was safe to eat and we had to trust that what we were given was GF. The allergy procedure here is absolutely shocking- if they were unsure they should have remade it rather than risk someone’s health. Natasha’s law has been in place for a long time now and it is not being followed here at all which is a legal requirement. Absolutely disgusted with how they handled it and we just had to crack on and eat it and hope for the best. We were the only table in the restaurant and the service was awful. Won’t be coming back anytime soon and would really like someone to get in touch regarding this allergy situation and explain what your allergy procedures actually are here because they’re unclear and the staff need re training as they give you absolutely no re assurance that you will be safe it’s like they don’t take allergies seriously.
