Nantyffin Cider Mill Inn

We arrived for Sunday lunch and was given a table in the main dining room which was cold. Order’s taken and our food arrived within 5 minutes with one roast beef turning out to be lamb and two mix meat meals arriving more than 5 minutes behind the first two meals then a wait for the side dishes. All four plates were just warm and not hot. Thankfully we arrived before the main rush of people.

We had the most wonderful wedding ceremony at Tretower Court and then went back to Nantyffin Cidermill, and it was the perfect venue for us. It complemented the charm of Tretower beautifully and was only 1 mile away. Meg and Chloe were so helpful from the very first message. Chloe was in touch all the time, answering my many questions, and it genuinely felt like chatting with a friend rather than a supplier. She took the time to understand our situation and made every effort to ensure we were happy. I was 35 weeks pregnant when we got married, so my anxieties were high, but she made everything so easy. You can really tell its family run and not a commercial company. I honestly don’t know where to start when it comes to Nantyffin Cidermill. The service was outstanding, the venue is gorgeous, and the food was out of this world. I’ll definitely be going back again and again, and several of our guests have already said they’re booking Sunday lunch there. Theres a park outside so even the kids were happy. They made so many accommodations on the menu for fussy eaters etc too. Our wedding was a laid-back 3pm ceremony followed by food and board games. It was perfect for us and a lovely change from the traditional wedding. No cake, no dancing, no speeches, just a relaxed and happy day surrounded by people we love. If you’re considering either of these venues, I’d absolutely encourage you to go for it!

Sunday Roast dinner, with a slice of each meat for £4 extra, plus a latte, total cost appx £24-£25 per head. WORTH EVERY PENNY! The locals were queuing to get in at 12 noon, so I knew I'd picked a good restaurant! I recommend booking a table as it is very popular. We arrived an hour early but they moved our booking to suit us. The 3 slices of meat (pork, beef and lamb) were melt-in-the-mouth and very succulent. Side dishes of vegetables (fresh carrots, peas and broccoli, nothing frozen) and cauliflower cheese, a huge yorkshire pudding, stuffing ball and 3 well roasted potatoes, alongside extra gravy in a boat. Absolutely delicious and super-filling. I would whole-heartedly recommend! 🥰

Despite the busy bank holiday the food was tasty with decent portions. The loaded burgers were very good. And the garlic bread and onion rings were on point. Lovely staff, great location. And the small play area was good keeping my daughter busy for a bit too.
