What visitors say

Really nice house. Entry was completely free. Acres of land surrounding the house to chill out on a summers day with family. Plenty of history and fine art can be found here. I highly recommended the visit. Paid parking is available.

Fantastic place, the art collection was fascinating and some of the rooms were incredible, especially the Library. The park area was massive and if you continue walking for about 20-30 minutes you can get up the hill to be able to see the skyscrapers of the capital.

A wonderful free self-tour of this historically fascinating house, now a gallery to boot. I knew it well in my 20s, but feel more intrigued by it later in life. Glorious art, and delightful, informative volunteer guides. Grounds connect to Hampstead Heath and lead all the way to Parliament Hill; take a picnic, or get refreshments at the 2 cafes.

Collections inside the house are beautiful and all volunteers are so kind and informative. The architecture and paintings are extraordinary. So many things to enjoy.
