What visitors say
Yes this place could use an interior makeover and Yes it's not Bannatynes but it's very functional and cheap as chips. 25m pool with kiddie side dish and diving boards. Sauna and steam room with plenty of showers and cubicles. No smell of chlorine so not sure what they use to kill the aqua bugs these days. 8 squid for an hour well spent.

Great facilities and a friendly atmosphere. The gym is excellent and well equipped. We especially love the pool when the diving boards are open, it would be brilliant to have them available more often. It’s a really good place for the community, and we’re glad the sauna is still running despite the seating issues. Hope it stays that way!

I am simply furious with indignation. What have they turned the Peterhead Community Centre into? Where is the management? Why is everything falling apart, and the employees allow themselves to be rude to customers? I am not talking about everyone. There are also very friendly and helpful employees. Special thanks and respect to them. The last point of my boiling was yesterday. We are a membership, but we were simply not allowed to play badminton because the court was booked for basketball. This was done because it was impossible to book anything except basketball or netball. Everything is constantly unavailable in the application, and this is not because of the high demand for sports but because of someone's laziness. We were told that they do not have employees to install badminton equipment, or they are simply lazy again, and this, I quote, is NOT THEIR PROBLEM. Lately, in response to any requests, all you can hear is that this is not their problem. What are we paying membership for? It has been six months since we have been allowed to sit on the bench in the sauna because one board has cracked. Is it possible to replace it at that time? While playing basketball, we asked to change it to another court where we could separate ourselves with a protective curtain from the children training next door, since the curtain on our court has been torn off for many months and it is impossible to close it. To which we were again met with aggression and the answer, “NOT MY PROBLEM”. Are these safety precautions? The safety and well-being of children, is this not a problem? A basketball is not soft at all. The ball will fly into a child or under his feet, and this is serious. And recently I witnessed how a woman complained to another that she could not look at the disgustingly dirty door after visiting the sauna for 3 months, and said that next time she would come with a rag to wash everything, since no one has done it yet. And the hair dryer is all broken, and no one cares. In general, it's all very sad. It's a pity that in all other Aberdeenshire community centers, the atmosphere is pleasant, and you want to return there again and again, but for the residents of Peterhead, everything is sad and unpleasant and why are we worse?

Always love coming here for a swim, sauna etc took a while to have the sauna properly fixed (parts of the seats were broken for ages) but was still operational. Always clean and plenty of lockers
