Cumberland
1710 is a two-bedroom cottage equipped for self-catering stays without fuss. Downstairs holds a living and dining room, kitchen and shower room with cubicle. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a double bed (4ft 6in), one with a single (3ft). The property sits in a quiet hamlet with a patio and lawned garden. A pub is within a mile. Walking access to the nearby villages of Castle Carrock and Talkin takes you to local pubs and restaurants. Talkin Tarn Country Park, an 180-acre site with walking, fishing and bird-watching, is close by. Hadrian's Wall, Carlisle, the Lake District and Northumberland are all within reasonable reach for day trips.
The garden includes a small bridge over an unfenced stream, and the water supply comes from a spring. No smoking.
