Packhorse Court sits steps from Keswick's high street, yet Beny-Cot manages what few properties in the town centre achieve: an enclosed garden and off-street parking for two cars. The cottage itself is built from traditional Lakeland stone, with modern furnishings inside and a wood-burning stove in the living room, where a second sitting space gives families room to spread out.
Four bedrooms sleep five people across different configurations. Downstairs has a kingsize and a double; upstairs a single and a double. The top floor attic room is furnished with two sofa beds, a TV and PlayStation 2, making it popular with children. There is one bathroom with a shower over the bath. The kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher and microwave for self-catering, and essentials including bed linen, towels, heating and wi-fi are provided. A utility room houses washing and tumble-drying facilities.
Derwentwater and the surrounding fells are within easy reach, and Whinlatter Forest, lake activities and rock climbing are all nearby. A pub sits within a mile. The garden, accessed by steps, has seating and lawn space. No smoking inside the property.
