Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are included, as is the initial fuel for the burner. One well-behaved dog is welcome. The property is yours alone, with private parking for one car and access to a patio with garden furniture; a walled river runs on the far side of the lane beyond the garden. No smoking inside.

The cottage suits families or groups of four looking for countryside quiet. Walkers will find fell paths and bridleways immediately accessible, while the nearby village offers a base for exploring further afield in the Lake District.
