Chapel House
Cumberland
The northwest Cumbrian coast is within reach for a day trip, and the Lake District fells lie inland—Chapel House sits in a traditional mining village roughly positioned between both. This detached house sleeps ten across five bedrooms, making it work for extended families, groups of friends or multiple couples wanting their own space without splitting up.
Downstairs centres on a large kitchen/dining room with a full range of appliances for cooking from scratch, plus a utility room with washing and drying facilities. The living room has a woodburner (logs included to start), and a conservatory with pool table adds another gathering space. Upstairs, the five bedrooms include a kingsize with an ensuite bathroom, and four further doubles and a twin. A second bathroom has both a bath and shower. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with wi-fi and all heating costs. One pet is welcome. There is parking for four cars on site and an enclosed garden with patio.
The layout works well for groups wanting to cook together and spend time around the house, or for people who prefer their evenings in. No smoking throughout.
