Millom sits between the Lake District fells and the Cumbrian coast, making it a base for both mountain and seaside activity. Combe Cairn is a semi-detached property on a quiet street in the town centre, within walking distance of a pub and restaurant, with a shop half a mile away. The coast is accessible for walks, and Black Combe—a fell with views Wainwright rated highly—lies within reach for a day's hike; on clear days you can see its summit cairn from one of the bedrooms.
Inside are two bedrooms, each with a double bed, a bathroom with bath and shower, and a living room with TV and DVD player. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and washing machine, opening onto a small garden with patio furniture and a barbecue. On-site parking is available for one car. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included. The property is non-smoking.
The wider area offers the South Lakes Wild Animal Park at Dalton, Muncaster Castle and its gardens, and the miniature steam railway at Ravenglass. Water sports, fishing, golf and pony trekking are all nearby. The location works for families and groups wanting easy access to both lakeland and coastal terrain.

Combe Cairn is a great base to station yourself at while exploring the local area. The Lake District is only a stones throw away with it's fantastic walks and views.

This is an ideal place as a base to go off and explore from, lots of walks and only 5mins in the car from the beach at Haverigg. Haverigg has a great chippy and great prices, they only take cash. We had 2 boys in tow (12 and 7)and they both said can we come again, we have booked for next year 😊. Great place.
