Cockermouth sits at the edge of the Lake District, close enough to reach Keswick in twenty minutes but far enough to feel like a proper village base. The surrounding countryside is full of walking country, and Harris Park is nearby for easier days out. The town itself has independent shops, galleries and cafés, plus Wordsworth's birthplace if literary history appeals.
Daffodil Cottage is yours alone for the stay. The ground floor has a living and dining room with exposed beams and a log-burning stove, alongside a kitchen fitted with a full range of cookers and appliances for cooking proper meals. Upstairs are three bedrooms—a double, a pair of singles, and a single—and a bathroom with both bath and shower. One dog or cat is welcome at no extra cost, and there's an enclosed garden with patio space and furniture outside. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided, along with heating and electricity.
There's on-road parking and access to a free public car park if you need it. No smoking inside the property.
