Daleside - Rosedale suits couples or families of up to three looking for somewhere quiet in the Cumbrian countryside. The converted farmhouse cottage has two bedrooms—a king-size four-poster and a single—plus one bathroom, all to yourself on a working farm surrounded by 500 acres of shared grounds where red squirrels and deer occasionally appear.

Downstairs, the kitchen/dining room is fully equipped for cooking, with electric oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave. Upstairs, the living room is the heart of the place: a wood-burning stove, Freeview Smart TV with Sky Sports, and French doors opening onto a small balcony. The property includes electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi. Initial logs for the stove come with your stay; extras are available to purchase. A washing machine and tumble dryer are in a shared laundry room, and there's a private patio with garden furniture and a barbecue for outdoor meals.

The cottage is on-site parking for one car and sits within easy reach of Carlisle. The water comes from a natural spring filtered on the property. Smoking is not permitted.

We have only been here two days and I have to say that is brilliant. The owners are a lovely couple and nothing is to much trouble great location with stunning views. Love it.

We holidayed here back in 2011 and absolutely loved it there. Isabel and Alan were so lovely and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We were treated to a lovely cream tea on arrival. We stayed in Rosedale Cottage which was perfect. I left a gift I made which was an embroidered heart with the name of the cottage and before we left Isabel ordered some more which I made and sent for each of the cottages. Thank you both for a lovely holiday and hopefully one day we will see you again. Love Helen Jane and family x
