🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Ghyllside (Luxury)

Cumberland

Photo: Google Maps

Families and larger groups will find Ghyllside works well for a week or two in the Lake District. The cottage sits at the foot of Honister Pass, above Seatoller, with three bedrooms split across two floors—a bunk room with an ensuite on the ground floor, a double with TV on the first floor, and a zip-and-link bedroom that can be configured as two singles or one double. The main bathroom has a bath and shower; a second shower room adjoins the bunks. The property sleeps six and is yours entirely, with private parking for two cars and a rear garden with patio.

Downstairs, the open-plan living and dining space has a wood-burning fire, and the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, and a utility room with washing machine. WiFi and towels are provided; bed linen is included. There is a stream in the grounds and significant drops, so the property is not suitable for children under eight. A cot and highchair are available on request. The Langstrath Pub is three-quarters of a mile away in Stonethwaite, Rosthwaite village store is one and a half miles off, and Keswick has wider facilities. This is walking country: Scafell Pike, Haystacks, and the slate mine at Honister's summit are all within reach.
