Haystacks sits in the quieter outskirts of Keswick, surrounded by the fells that make this part of Cumberland so valued by walkers. The bungalow is a ten-minute walk from the town centre, close enough for restaurants and pubs but far enough to feel removed from the bustle. A pub is within a mile. The enclosed rear garden and patio catch views across the landscape, and there's a front garden too.
Inside, the property sleeps four across a king bedroom and a twin room, with a bathroom combining bath and shower. The living and dining space has a Freeview television and DVD player; the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking with an electric oven, microwave, fridge and washing machine. Wifi and electricity are included, along with towels and bed linen. One car fits on the driveway; additional roadside parking is available. The property welcomes one pet. Smoking is not permitted.
The location works well for guests who want access to Keswick's walking routes and evening amenities without being in the thick of town. The bungalow is step-free at the entrance.

Brilliant hike. Tough climb but achieved with minimal fitness. The downhill was harder on the loose rocks and stones (shale) than the ascent. Incredible views and scenery. Wasnt busy. To be avoided if you dont like or get unnerved by scrambling at the top. Probably some of the worst we have done. Overall a fabulous day out and scored with the weather.

What a fell... I, can see why AW liked it soo much. Nice and easy if approaching from honister. A bit more technical on the final part from scarth gap pass. A beautiful place. Several tarns, crags and lots of Heather. Well worth the effort. Spots to pitch a tent if that's your bag. Stunning views of the gables and kirk fell / pillar.
