Highgate is a two-bedroom cottage sleeping four, arranged entirely on the ground floor. You arrive into a living and dining space with exposed beams, a wood-burning stove, and Smart TV; patio doors lead directly to an enclosed rear garden. The kitchen is equipped for real cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave—and there's a washing machine if you need it. One bedroom has a king-size bed, the other a double. The bathroom has a bath and walk-in shower. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered; the wood burner has initial fuel included.

The garden contains furniture and a private hot tub for four. Access to the garden involves three steps, and there is on-road parking beside the property. A welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and a bottle of fizz awaits on arrival, along with dressing gowns and slippers.

The cottage sits in Hethersgill, a small village roughly 10 miles from Carlisle and within 30 minutes of the Lake District, Solway Coast, Scottish Borders and Eden Valley. Nearby draws include Hadrian's Wall and Birdoswald Roman Fort, Talkin Tarn for boating and fishing, and Walby Farm Park. The property does not permit smoking.
