Rural Cumberland offers a particular kind of quiet—rolling countryside broken by stone walls and distant fells, yet within reach of market towns and the wider Lake District. Fell View Cottage sits on a country lane in this setting, a converted barn with ground-floor living spaces and the kind of light that comes from large windows and patio doors onto gardens. The property sleeps 8 across four bedrooms: three with king beds and one with two singles that zip together. There are two bathrooms, one ensuite to the master bedroom.

The open-plan living area combines kitchen, dining and seating in one room, with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and washing machine making independent catering straightforward. From here, Brampton and Longtown are short drives for shops and food. Hadrian's Wall, the Solway Coast, Carlisle and the Scottish Borders are all within an hour or so. The Lake District National Park is accessible for walking or a day out.
