This was a delightful stay on our trip. The service was excellent for both accommodations and meals. I thought the accommodations were modern, comfortable (the shower was most excellent) and all the extras were available making me feel at home. The decor was especially beautiful; love the use of velvet fabrics throughout. Very sweet doorstop for my room! I had both dinner and breakfast and the food was excellent as well as the service. Was directed here because we wanted somewhere good to eat away from the A69. And were were not disappointed! It was a bit of a way out of our way, but the little detour was well worth it. The food was lovely with an ample plateful. Service was swift, even though it was a busy Saturday lunch time. It's not massive, but it is worth going out of your way for though parking can be a bit tight. All in all, an excellent value for money eating experience in a rather nice place. Well recommended and its local popularity speaks for itself.

I loved the touch of the room mascot stuffed animal (each room has its own critter with a personality and backstory 🤩). Mine was an adorable otter. Overall a great stay with lovely staff, comfortable rooms, and delicious food.

We stayed here while working a section of Hadrian's Wall. It was well located, not far off the path and a very nice stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable and dog friendly. Food was great, they were very accommodating with vegan/veggie option for both evening and morning meals. Lovely staff.
