Hycemoor House sits in the quieter countryside south of Bootle, where the fells meet the coastal plain at the Lake District's western edge. This six-bedroom property accommodates up to 14 guests across its three floors, making it large enough for extended families or groups who want their own space but also want to gather together. Bedrooms are split between a double and single on the first floor, two doubles on the second, and another double and single on the ground level alongside the main living areas. Two bathrooms serve the house—one with a bath and shower, one ensuite with a cubicle shower.
The ground floor centres on a living room with a woodburner and Smart TV, leading through to a kitchen and dining space equipped for cooking from scratch. There's also a dedicated games room, which helps larger parties spread out. Everything needed for an independent stay is provided: bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, heating and electricity are all included, along with initial fuel for the woodburner. A travel cot and highchair come with the property if needed. Outside, the garden has a private eight-person wood-fired hot tub—a draw for groups wanting to unwind together. Parking accommodates two cars on site. One pet stays free, and no smoking is permitted indoors.
The nearby coast and open countryside make this a base for walking, exploring the shoreline, or simply spending time outdoors. The location also puts Scafell Pike and other fell walks within reach for more ambitious days.
