Beck Brow Cottage
Cumberland
Bootle is a quiet village in Cumberland, positioned between the coastline and the fells—Black Combe and Whitfell dominate the landscape on one side, unspoilt beaches lie within a few miles on the other. Beck Brow Cottage sits in this setting, offering a genuine retreat for walkers and cyclists who want to explore the quieter routes of the region.
The cottage is arranged over two floors with an open-plan ground floor that combines living space, dining area and kitchen in one. A wood-burning stove anchors the seating area; the kitchen is equipped for anything from simple meals to full dinners. There's a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, plus a downstairs toilet. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with twin singles—and a shower room with a walk-in shower. The whole property is yours alone, with Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels provided. A contained back garden with furniture and an accessible shed for bikes completes the setup. The cottage does not permit smoking.
For those who want to venture further, Coniston Water and Lake Windermere are under an hour's drive, along with various attractions including Go Ape, a steam railway, and a motor museum. A single dog is welcome to stay.
